I am a daughter of the Most High God. I love God. I love people. I love to write. And I love to share.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

A few More about me!

I started this blog in my freshman year at James Madison University, Harrisonburg VA. It was part of an assignment for a class (WRTC 103) until interest and passion took over. You can call me “Wintony”. The full name is “Wintony Sands”.

I am a growing writer, young engineer and learning entrepreneur. I am passionate about research (basically literature reviews and interviews on topics that matter to me and people) and … I am passionate writing. Lest, I forget I love being an engineer. Engineering gives me the opportunity to apply myself in technical areas for the greater good (Ermmn…cheesy. I won’t be talking much about my engineering life anyway).

And being able to write allows me to effectively communicate with the world in my own unique way, the goal is to create conversation that will cause a positive change in issues, to create awareness on stories that matter to me, and to help others better understand the resources available to them.

This “about the author” page was created in 2014, and has been updated through the years to suit the author’s preferences.

My Interests…

I enjoy:

  • writing
  • volunteering
  • blogging
  • graphic designing
  • reading
  • doing “independent research” (literature reviews),
  • photography
  • videography
  • creativity – all sorts
  • thinking
  • a good quiet time.

Future plans...

In the near future I hope to establish an Educational Consult in some West African countries. I am passionate about offering career and academic guidance planning to individuals interested. I have had a somewhat dramatic journey myself in getting to know what path to take. This “drama”- as I like to call it – lasted for over 5+ years. Today, I am far from having the perfect answers, but I surely know the steps a person can take to ensure fulfillment and peace of mind in the area of career choice.

I will still remain a practicing professional industrial mechanical engineer throughout these future plans. Further, I am working on growing in skills an expertise to function as an engineering manager. Lastly, if time and resources will permit, I will go ahead and get that “MD” title to my name!

Now thanks again for stopping by my blog, enjoy reading.
